HI Ladies! Just a reminder as if you aren't bombarded with enough pink and pink ribbon imagery that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Please take the time to perform your monthly breast exams and see a doctor immediately if you find a lump or experience nipple discharge. Early detection is key to survival.

Hi Ladies! I am gearing up to walk in our local Komen Race for the Cure in the Shreveport/Bossier Area on Saturday, September 19th. If you have a survivor or someone who has lost the battle with breast cancer, please send me their name and I will write it on my shirt to honor them.

Hi Crystal,
I am honored to be a part of your group. Coming in 2009, I am hosting a special retreat for survivors of Breast Cancer. To date, I have had to support many family members and friends. One of my best friends is now in treatment for the second time.
As a Healing Coach, I have worked with so many beautiful people who are dealing with the memory or pain of being a survivor or loosing someone.
I host many events but feel so much different about this one. I would love to include you in this time of healing and uplifting. Most importantly, I will pray for your continued healing through the power of God!

Lisa-What a wonderful friend you are! In my book, there are excerpts from my closest friends who supported and encouraged me often. It is nearly impossible, in my opinion, to undergo surgery, chemo and radiation alone. Most of my friends were strong but a few of them didn't know what to say. I was a little disappointed in times at the lack of concern on their end.
I have a PET scan in a few weeks. Of course, I am very nervous but my last PET scan before chemo was negative so I can't imagine a positive scan result this time.

My best friend/college roommate is a breast cancer survivor. When she was diagnosed I was at first at a complete lost for words. After speaking with her I cried and then I realized I needed to be strong for her! So I dug in my heels and told her we were going to fight this fight together.

I have had short hair for about 12 years so when her hair fell out from treatments, I shaved my hair low also as a sign and committment to my vow to stand by her side.

I am proud to say today she is a survivor of 3 years and doing great.

I still see how beautiful you are even without hair Crystal, you are truly a leader. I would love to buy your book, let me know where it can be purchased.
My mother has ovarian and throat cancer. I also have several friends who have battled breast cancer, some have survived and some haven't.
My 2 daughter's and I will be doing the race for the cure in Salt Lake. This will be their first 5k, so I am excited for them and all the survivors who will be there, they are an inspiration. My favorite thing is the way the community comes together each year to support the cause. Good luck tomorrow, but I doubt you need it.

Oh no! Looking back, I can not believe that I had the courage to go on tv bald but deep down, I know I have to share my testimony with women because I am certain that some young women were just as scared and misinformed as I was upon diagnosis.

I purposely didn't have any pictures taken of my bald head.
So, I hope you're not expecting full exposure.
