Hi Eliza,
Hope you are well.
One of my classmates in JRN #816 Qualitative Research Methods, Ben Velderman is doing a research project on a Hispanic radio program that serves the information needs of the Hispanic community in Holland. I gave Ben some contacts in Holland and would like to know if you can help him out, too. Ben's e-mail address is velderm4@msu.edu, Ben's Cell: (616) 848-8541.
BTW, this excellent class is taught by Manuel Chavez, Ph.D., JRN professor and associate director of the Center for Caribbean and Latin American Studies (CLACS).
P.S. I sent you a separate e-mail at your White House Project page regarding the Chicano/Latino Studies Ph.D. program, which is looking for applicants. I know you would be an excellent candidate for this Ph.D. Are you still interested? The deadline to apply online is January 15, 2009. More information is at www.msu.edu/~cls
The CLS office phone: (517) 353-8685. If you have questions, you can call me and leave a message there. I don't have an office at the School of Journalism anymore. My base now is at the CLS office, 200 South Kedzie Hall, MSU. Hope to hear from you.
Regards y abrazos,
Rosa E. Morales

Hi Elisa! I see you are in Michigan too. I am interested in helping out with the White House project over here, and I was curious if you could give me steps and/or contact information as to how to go about that. Thank you!

All women influence for good or ill. What are the changes we want to see in the world? Most women in my life seem to want to conform to the "man's" world and then change it. Maybe we need to not conform? Linda

Hi Elisa,
I went to the group, but could find no question for discussion!
Maybe due to technical difficulties?

I hope you can advise me on civil rights issues in west michigan, especially about infringement of voting rights. My organization, the MichiganElectionReformAlliance.org is working around the state to defend the right to vote and the right to have your vote counted honestly!

thanks for adding me to your friends list! I am just learning how to use this computer. I've found I 'm way ahead in wisdom, and a little slow at techno. Hope to see you in the neighborhood. Linda
P,S. thanks for everything you did a the WHP. It was great!
