In 100 words or less tell us how you are a leader
After attending my first white house project training last week-end I better understand myself and my leadership skills/style. First and foremost I have been the leader in my own life. I have been true to myself. This has not been an easy road, but at 60, I am so thankful. What I have learned along the way is more than I ever could have imagined. I now know how much I have to give towards the healing/wellness of our world.

merry birthing day and many happy new years

it is walking through the fire that we learn,

in sharing our lessons freely we create freedom,

the failures in life are not individual,

we are in this loving together,

a poem from a. rich,

the secret revolution,

that two women can meet,

no longer as cramped sharers,

of a bitter mutual secret,

but as two eyes in one brow,

receiving at one moment,

the rainbow of the world.

a note from me...many women

...Fire in My Belly, Ruach, Love

...continued.from last blog.

The Christmas Story is an Old Story. It is a story written by men, interpreted by men. It has a long history of male interpretation. Volumes and volumes have been written about this story. It is usually the biggest story of the year. More than forty years ago, I started pondering along with Mary the meaning of the message of the angels. What were angels anyway? I was seventeen and pregnant. I confessed my sin in front of the whole church and was married in the basem… Continue

The Weather Outside is Frightful

But my little heater is so delightful. I just watched Jaime Peters video, the Solitude of Self. According to Jung, there are no mistakes, only synchronisities. It was the perfect picture for me to ponder as I sit in my second floor garage apartment (the little red barn), watching it snow into the perfect winter scene. The Solitude of Self brought be back to the beginning of my journey. The video is a beautiful living inspiring commentary on the dance of life. I am a dancer. Reading my first blog… Continue

Things change fast

Dear all who take the time to read!

"Things" change fast and I'm slow at learning how to do all this computer stuff! Again I want to thank everyone involved in the Michigan Go Run!! All the women there, enmass, have been an influence in my life. Just wanted to tell you all a story. One of the many things I have achieved in my life is a masters of divinity degree (almost). I have been helping with a new church start with a UCC pastor. I have been setting up tables and chairs, making coffee, tea,… Continue

Hi Linda, Thanks for the connection. I glad to know more about you from reading a few of your posts. You clearly have much to say! I hope you are well. I noticed you referencing "Infidel". That's a book I want to read. This year I read "Iran Awakening" by Shirin Ebadi. I was greatly inspired. I'm even working to try to get her to come to MN and speak. It's good to connect with you and know that you continue on this path of leading and not holding back your wisdom, passion and life lessons.

Hi LLinda,

Thanks for the email and thank you for the inspiration. I have not read Infidel yet, but I know a few details. That will be a book for the holiday. I will let you know what I think. And if anyone else is willing to read the book or reading this comment, maybe we can all share our thoughts!

Best regards,

Julene

Yes, what a hoot that we both know Ira! And you probably know Pat Foster, who is running for Allegan Co. Clerk. Karen Wellman was Pres. of Dem. Club of West Michigan last year when they hosted Jeremy Scahill , author of the book on Blackwater. Our organization is the Michigan Election Reform Alliance.org (see web site). We formed two years ago and are trying to rescue a key piece of our democracy--the integrity of voting.

Hi LLinda,
Allegan and Berrien Counties are a hotbed of progressive activism, especially on voting rights, right now. Let me know if you want to network with my contacts, and I can get you in touch.
